On 30th April, for our fourth Speaker Taster Session, we were joined by technology researcher & author Carl Miller.
He is the author of over a dozen major reports, including on the influence of the internet on radicalisation, policing and counter-terrorism, hate crime and social media, conspiracy theories, digital democracy, and changing identities and beliefs in the digital world.
His most recent book - Death of the Gods seeks to analyse power in the digital age.

His session focused on highlighting the damaging disinformation that is being shared on social media especially around the Covid 19 pandemic. He explains how we can practise 'digital hygiene' in order to avoid harmful content.
