Jon Long

Jon Long, a stand-up and musical comedian, has carved a niche for himself with his upbeat and amiable stage presence. Renowned for his witty and acerbic comedy songs, he has become a favorite on the vibrant London live circuit, gracing the stages of esteemed clubs like Angel Comedy, Top Secret, and The Comedy Store. Jon's comedic talents have not only resonated in the UK but have also taken him across Europe, leaving audiences entertained and eager for more.

A seasoned performer at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jon took center stage in 2018 by hosting the prestigious AAA Showcase at The Pleasance. The following year marked a significant milestone as he made his acclaimed solo-show debut with 'Planet Killing Machine,' produced by Mick Perrin Worldwide. The success of this venture led to the development of the show for BBC Radio 4.

On July 1st, 2021, Jon's environmental comedy, 'Extinction Compendium,' written and presented by him, made its debut broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Produced by Jon Holmes of Unusual Productions, the half-hour show featured biologist Gillian Burke and HDM’s Alasdair Beckett-King. Building on this achievement, Jon has gone on to record and broadcast three additional episodes of his environmental comedy for Radio 4, collectively known as 'Carbon Lifeforms.' The fourth installment, a Christmas Special, aired on the 17th of December 2023, featuring climate scientist Dr. Tara Shone and produced by Jon Holmes.

Currently, Jon is providing tour support for Chris McCausland of HDM (Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You?) and the sharp-witted satirical news journalist, Jonathan Pie. With his unique blend of humor and musical talent, Jon Long continues to captivate audiences across the comedy landscape.

“Clever songs and witty jokes...delivered with laser-guided timing”

Bruce Dessau, arts critic for the Evening Standard

“Charming and yes, funny”

The Guardian

"What a warm, witty, human being. He compered and also stood in as auctioneer at our event and was fantastic. He stepped in at the last minute and lifted the whole event onto an entirely higher plain and our supporters and sponsors responded accordingly. We’re very grateful to him professionally and personally, he made us weep with laughter, while also keeping pace and momentum. Brilliant.”

Thom Jones, Articulate Global (formerly the Charlotte Miller Art Project)
