Events Opening Up

As England is set to exit Lockdown with clearer plans regarding ongoing restrictions moving forwards - plus with the hope for a vaccine in the near future - there is a palpable sense of optimism in the industry. Conference News published a very good piece summarising what will be allowed in terms of physical event attendance over the next few months (essentially for those in Tiers 1 and 2, between 2 and 4000 people, depending on venue, with about 50% capacities). For many, virtual events will remain for a while longer. We of course focus on helping our clients to provide the most compelling content, however audiences also need to be educated on how to make the best of it. Luke Broadhurst of Shard Media wrote a brilliant blog on LinkedIn discussing how to make the most of a virtual event - key take away for us was to block out time in the diary, as you would a physical event, and switching off other distractions, so you can commit fully.
