Shortlist

Scott Quinnell's reputation precedes him. As a rugby player the recognition and respect that his talent commanded reached a global audience. A Llanelli stalwart, he conquered both rugby codes, represented Wales on 52 occasions, toured twice with the British and Irish Lions, and played for the Barbarians.

Now a regular on Sky Sports, he is a co-presenter for 'School of Hard Knocks,' exploring the life changing potential of sport. For Scott, this holds a particularly pertinent message severe and undiagnosed dyslexia caused him to drop out of school, and he gives rugby the credit for providing the discipline and direction he so badly needed.

Today he is a role model for people with learning difficulties and dedicates a huge amount of time to visiting schools and prisons, and to spreading the message that no-one need give up on themselves.

As a globally recognised rugby legend with an infectious sense of humour, Scott can apply his talents to a diverse range of activities.  As a speaker he is both insightful and inspirational, drawing upon experience in both his private life and the world of rugby to entertain and inform in equal measure.

I just wanted to thank you for all your help in obtaining Scott Quinnell's services for our event at Renault Trucks in Cardiff yesterday. My colleagues and my client said how great Scott was: very friendly, helpful, full of amusing stories, and went down extremely well with the audience. We look forward to working with him again in the future.   Motivaction -  2010
