programmes). At the start of her television career, Diane initially challenged
boundaries by becoming the first black presenter on Blue Peter.

Penny
Mallory is one of a rare breed who is able to mix presenting TV shows,
motivating audiences, running a successful business, running marathons,
and writing about and driving cars!
Penny became National Ladies Champion Rally Driver in 1993 and went on
to be one of the countrys top rally drivers. She followed this by
becoming a precision stunt driver, playing both Nicole and Papa
in the famous Renault Clio commercials.
Penny currently presents the Used Car Roadshow with Jason
Dawe on ITV. In its third series, this hugely popular show demonstrates
what incredible Used Car Bargains are out there, and how buying new is
crazy. Penny and Jason have a unique on-screen rapport which has contributed
significantly to the shows growing audience.
She beat stiff opposition to become the only female presenter on Channel
4's, long running television series, Driven. She has become one of the
most popular presenters in Channel 4 polls and viewing figures were never
less than 2.2 million. Driven was the first motoring programme to knock
Top Gear off the air after 21 years!
Alongside Driven, Penny presented Channel 4s critically acclaimed
World Rally Championship as well as the Le Mans and Beginners Guide. Apart
from these flagship shows, Penny has presented the much repeated Channel
4 series Accident Black Spots and has been a regular on GMTV and This
Morning.
Penny was the first woman in the world to qualify to compete in a World
Rally car the rallying equivalent of a Formula One car! She raced
a Ford Focus WRC in her first rally for five years, the Rally of Great
Britain- the last round of the World Championship. She was the first woman
over the finishing line and won 4 awards including the Ladies and Journalists
Trophies.
Penny is one of the founders of ttotal the British tea equivalent
of Starbucks. The tea system that Penny invented for delivering the perfect
cup of tea, is now being served in nearly 200 sites around the UK. Buy
great tea at www.ttotal.co.uk
Although Penny is an expert on cars and is passionate about all aspects
of motorsport and engineering, she has trained in design and social work
too. Working for some years as a graphic designer in advertising and as
a sound engineer in a recording studio, areas of interest also cover furniture
renovation, painting, DIY - in fact anything that is creative and practical.
Penny spends much of her time as an after dinner speaker, events host
and motivational speaker.
Part of Pennys character was no doubt shaped during her early teens,
when she ran away from home and lived in hostels for homeless kids around
London. Her sheer determination to survive on her own terms and her will
to succeed at what ever she puts her mind to have enabled her to motivate
and inspire others, both in business and socially. She has a natural ability
to communicate with everybody and has a passion for helping others overcome
whatever obstacles they may have. Her unique and inspirational story show
that there is no limit to what you can achieve with will power and commitment!
She is passionate about running, and completed the London marathon in
4 hours and 40 mins. She also enjoys training her spaniel, Alfie.
"Penny was well received by the delegates at our International conference.
She was extremely positive and informative and everyone thoroughly enjoyed
what she has to say as it left them with many things to ponder on, especially
to never give up. On a personal level, Penny was charming and interesting
in all our dealings with her".

your determination and ambition. The feedback forms were extremely positive
and everyone seemed to gain something from the day. You consistently scored
10 out of 10 on the feedback forms, one commented that your talk was the
most motivating he had ever heard. Another said it was good to listen
to a real story that was both interesting and entertaining."
