He has covered the UK and top tabled with The Institute of Petroleum at the Grosvenor House, the Variety Club of Great Britain, The Newspaper's and Advertisers Golfing Society, as well as numerous Round Table Soirees. He has addressed the Yorkshire Master Builders in Hull and in York, and the RUC Football Club in Belfast, and the Arthur Andersen Company in Bournemouth. Craigie is well known on the SFA, Scottish Golf, and Rugby Circuit and is a regular performer at testimonial dinners, corporate golf days and business seminars. He is a man of letters, being a former East of Scotland Scrabble champion. But his main educational claim to fame is that he once shared an inkwell at school with Sean Connery. And, in true journalistic style, insists he taught 007 all knows about acting and elocution. Craigie was principal speaker when Sean was honoured with the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh. Over the years, Craigie has told so many stories about Connery that he is now beginning to believe them. But, would a journalist lie? Craigie is also a winner of the four prestigious Wit's Dinner Awards,
including the Jackie Blanchflower Memorial Trophy. David Winner
Winner's other book, 'Brilliant Orange: The Neurotic Genius of Dutch Football' was published by Bloomsbury just before Euro 2000 and was immediately acclaimed as a highly original and perceptive study of football culture. The Times called it "one of the definitive books on the game" and the book was shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year. David is available to speak on a whole range of subjects, and has spoken on the environment, the contemporary arts and off course football and in 2006 commentated for BBC World News on the football World Cup. Christine Hamilton
She is in demand to speak at luncheons, dinners and gatherings of all
kinds, equally at home with male, female or mixed audiences, enlivening
many a conference dinner with her charm and humour. A practised, entertaining
and witty speaker, she lifts the veil on the discreet yet not-so-discreet
World of Westminster and enthuses hilariously about her "Great British
Battleaxes". Further InformationFor further information or for a copy of our latest speaker booklet please phone one of our consultants whose expert advice will help you find the right personality for your event.
