GARY
NEWBON has been with ITV for 35 years. He was controller of Sport at
Carlton Television (Central region) but is best known for his appearances
on ITV's
major sports coverage of football and boxing.
Gary has covered seven World Cup Finals for ITV - 1974 Germany; 1982
Spain;
1986 Mexico; 1990 Italy; 1994 USA, 1998 France and 2002 in Japan, plus
three
European Championships (1992,1996 and 2000). He has also reported on three
Olympic Games - 1972 Munich; 1980 Moscow and 1988 Seoul.
For six years he hosted football programmes on the national Talk Sport
radio
wavelength and was nominated for a coveted Sony Award.

Mishal
Husain is well known to BBC News audiences across the world as a presenter
for the international channel BBC World, and a former Washington correspondent.
She's also presented 'Breakfast' on BBC1 and hosts the interview programme
'Hardtalk Extra' on BBC News 24 and BBC World.
Mishal was previously a business journalist, presenting 'World Business
Report' and reporting live from New York's Times Square in the aftermath
of September 11th 2001.
Her academic background is in law - she has a law degree from Cambridge
University and a Master's in human rights.
Mishal first tasted journalism on leaving school in 1991, training at
The News - one of Pakistan's English-language daily papers & her first
job after university was at Bloomberg Television in London
Joining BBC World as a producer in 1998, Mishal began reporting for the
specialist BBC Economics and Business Unit, later presenting business
news on BBC World and BBC News 24.
In 2000 she became the first anchor of BBC World's 'Asia Business Report',
launched from the BBC's Asia headquarters in Singapore.
Back in London, Mishal co-presented BBC World and BBC News 24's flagship
'World Business Report'. On the day New York markets re-opened after 9/11,
she was live in Times Square charting reaction to the attacks. A year
on, she covered the anniversary commemorations at the Pentagon.
Later in 2001 Mishal moved to the main news seat on BBC World - her first
day coinciding with the plane crash in New York's Queens district and
her first week with the fall of Kabul.
As Washington Correspondent, Mishal was on air for the announcement from
the White House, in March 2003, that the Iraq war had begun & presented
numerous specials from Washington through the conflict. Another recent
appearance on US Television was the co-presentation of Wide Angle documentary
series on the PBS network in the summer of 2003.
Mishal has recently been presenting BBC Breakfast television.

Seán
Brickell has been a presenter, reporter and producer on network and regional
television and radio, as well as a writer and reporter for the national
and international print media. He is a Royal Television Society award
winner and his broadcasting and journalistic work has been nominated for
three other awards.
He started his career at the age of 14 by writing articles for his local
paper during his school holidays. He later went on to become the countrys
youngest ever national television news reporter, aged 21, and a year later
became one of the youngest ever network television newsreaders. This was
despite his journalism college lecturer telling him he might not make
it in the profession!
Seán is an engagingly warm and witty after dinner and motivational
& business speaker. He uses many colourful experiences from his career
as a broadcaster and journalist and as an adventurer to deliver very original
and entertaining speeches.
Seán, whose style has been described as a mix between the actor
and raconteur David Niven and the comedian Bob Hope, has spoken at corporate
events, sporting dinners and private events. He is also a member of the
Professional Speakers Association and a prize-winning speaking member
of Toastmasters International.
