One
of the brightest talents to ascend through such respected programmes as
'Newsround' and 'Newsnight', Krishnan brings great flair to his reports
and presentation - flair borne of intelligence, knowledge and sound programming
instinct.
Now, after spearheading the BBC Digital 24 Hour News service, he has
moved to the prestigious hot seat of Channel 4 News.
His impressive portfolio began in the year between school and university
presenting topical youth discussions on BBC2's 'Open To Question' researching
for BBC Scotlands' 'Testimony' and reporting for BBC2's 'Reportage'- as
well as for the major Asian arts magazine 'Network East'.

Founder and artistic director of PMT (the Pocket Musical Theatre Co),
Gyles Brandreth is the author of Zipp! (One hundred musicals for less
than the price of one), the musical comedy revue which won the "Most
Popular Show" Award at the 2002 Edinburgh Festival, recently completed
its first West End season, and now has productions scheduled in Germany,
Scandinavia, South Africa and Japan.
Gyles Brandreth's varied career has ranged from playing Baron Hardup
in Cinderella (with Bonnie Langford, Barbara Windsor and Brian Conley)
to being a Lord Commissioner of the Treasury in John Major's Government.
He has been a Member of Parliament, editor-at-large of the Sunday Telegraph
Review, and a London correspondent for CBS News. In the US (where his
great-great-grandfather was a New York senator) he is a regular presenter
with the Home Shopping Network. In the UK (where his forebears include
the last person to be beheaded in England for treason), his recent TV
credits range from Countdown to Have I Got News for You. On BBC Radio
Four his recent credits include Broadcasting House, The Motion Show and
Just A Minute. On BBC TV he has been the subject of This Is Your Life.
A former Oxford scholar, President of the Oxford Union and artistic director
of the Oxford Theatre Festival, he has co-produced three plays in the
West End, written a show about A A Milne with Julian Slade (the creator
of Salad Days), and scripted the TV series Dear Ladies with Hinge &
Bracket. His many books about the theatre include a history of pantomime
and an acclaimed biography of Sir John Gielgud, now out in paperback (published
by Sutton).
His best-selling political diaries, Breaking the Code ("Far more
perceptive and revealing than Alan Clark's" The Times) are published
by Phoenix, and his novels, set in the world of theatre, Who Is Nick Saint?
and Venice Midnight, are both published by Warner. His many children's
books include Max: The Boy Who Made a Million and The Ghost at No 13.
Brief Encounters: Meetings with Remarkable People, a collection of his
interviews with princes, prime ministers and stars of stage and screen,
is published by Politico's, while Charles and Camilla: Portrait of an
Affair is published by Century and Philip and Elizabeth: Portrait of a
Marriage is published by Arrow.
His most recent book is a study of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of
Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
Gyles Brandreth, a former Chairman and now Vice-President of the National
Playing Fields association, is married to writer and publisher Michele
Brown. They have three children and are the co-curators of the National
Portrait Gallery's celebration of children's writers now touring the UK
and co-founders of the award-winning Teddy Bear Museum in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Sackur is the new presenter of BBC Hardtalk which is broadcast on BBC
News 24 and BBC World, the BBC's international news channel, and has already
started to receive widespread praise: Following an interview with the
Prime Minister of Ethiopia he received over 200 emails from Ethiopians
delighted to hear an interviewer willing to challenge their leader on
his record on Corruption and Human Rights.
Prior to his appointment, Stephen was the BBC's Chief Europe correspondent
between 2002 and 2005, following a 4 year stint in Washington.
