Paul Daniels

Paul Daniels - Magician'THE PAUL DANIELS MAGIC SHOW' regularly hit 15,000,000 every week. It was TOP of the ratings on BBC1 and the repeats were TOP of the ratings on BBC2 in the same week. It was the FIRST television show to knock the Wonderful Morecambe and Wise shows off the number one slot at Christmas.

It won the GOLDEN ROSE OF MONTREAUX award for the BBC. It was the first
time they had won it in 17 YEARS. Paul Daniels has made over 600 television shows.

The name PAUL DANIELS depicts a combination of 'a' UNIQUE approach and
NON STOP COMEDY....something that earned him the title of 'THE WORLDS
MOST ENTERTAINING MAGICIAN'.

Bruce Jones

Bruce Jones - Conference chairman and hostBruce Jones is a consultant, specialising in international affairs and defence issues, with expertise in media and public affairs. He works in Westminster/Whitehall and world-wide for companies, organisations and government departments. Activities past and present involve formulating responses for the NATO Secretary-General's and UK Cabinet Offices, providing parliamentary questions, submissions for Commons' Committees and amendments to legislation.

He is seconded by the Foreign Office on OSCE International Observation Missions to trouble spots in the Balkans, former Soviet Union and the Caucasus. Other clients include the Imperial War Museum. He comments on world affairs, including terrorism, in TV and radio features and interviews.

He undertakes public speaking roles as:·

  • Conference chairman and presenter presiding over more than sixty in the UK and abroad in the last five years·
  • Keynote speaker and commentator at specialist events and seminars.·
  • Raconteur giving profound and at times irreverent behind-the-scenes insight with his considerable experience of international affairs as a long-term observer in Russia and the Balkans, of life overseas in Africa and the Middle East, and in the Intelligence Corps.

Dennis Taylor

Dennis Taylor - corporate golf daysDennis started to play snooker at 9 years of age in his home town, Coalisland, Northern Ireland. He moved to England at the age of 17 to work - not play snooker.

By the age of 14 he was the best billiards and snooker player in his local area. He won the British Junior Billiards title in the 1967/68 season and turned professional in 1971/72 season.

The big turning point in his career came when he paid his own way to go to Canada to compete in the Canadian Open in 1974. He beat Alex Higgins to get through final - only to lose to Cliff Thornburn.
