Steven
Norris was Conservative MP for Oxford East and then Epping Forest between
1983 and 1997.
He was Parliamentary Private Secretary to three ministers, William Waldegrave
at the Department of Environment, Nick Ridley as Secretary of State for
Trade and Industry and Kenneth Baker as Home Secretary.
In 1992 he became Minister for Transport in London and held the post
until 1996 becoming one of London's best-known political figures in the
process. In 1997, Steve became Director General of the Road Haulage Association
until 2000 when he stood as Conservative candidate for Mayor of London.
He ran again in 2004, pushing the incumbent mayor to a run-off on both
occasions.
He is now a director of a number of quoted and private companies including
non-executive chairman of Jarvis plc, director of ITIS Holdings plc and
Survey Inspection Systems Ltd. He advises a number of blue chip clients
on public affairs issues with special emphasis on transport and the built
environment. He was Chairman of the National Cycling Strategy Board from

Andrew
started as a trainee estate agent, in 1984 and worked in Bristol for a
few years, then spent about 5 years in The Cotswolds "selling cottages,
barns and stuff up muddy tracks, great fun it was too."
After this he sought out the bright lights of London, working in the
Baker Street area for nearly 2 years, before coming to Canary Wharf in
1996, where he has remained until now.
Andrew is experienced in all types of residential property markets, good
and bad, whether in the suburbs, country, urban or city locations. He
has dealt with new build areas, old villages, urban housing and the traditional
housing stock.
According to Andrew he has been totally 'obsessed' by houses even as
a kid! "On holiday, days off, whenever or wherever I am I check out
the local housing market." He also has plenty of first hand experience
of the property market having bought his first house at 18 in Bristol
bought for £18,500 and sold it for £25,750 nine months later.
"In the last 19 years I have moved my main home 10 times! Even since
the wife and kids came along, that hasn't really stopped. I am currently
living in Kent with wife, 2 kids plus another on the way, planning to
move away next year of course!"
Having lived in all sorts of houses and flats from warehouse conversions,
new build apartments, period cottages, brand new estate house, 70's house,
30's house and a weird 60's pad the only type Andrew will not live in
is "a traditional Victorian terrace or even a more normal 30s/50s/60s
etc semi - only because everyone else does."
Andrew also provides a service producing private marketing reports for
those having trouble selling their home or worried about their planned
purchase.

Anna Hemmings, Britain's leading female marathon canoeist,
current World and European Champion was told by medical experts she might
never race again. In 2005 however, she signalled a miraculous return to
fitness by regaining her status as the World's leading marathon canoeist
at the Marathon Racing World Championships in Perth, Australia. In 2006
she successfully defended her world title. In 2007 she went onto make
it a hat-trick of three World titles in a row. This latest medal is her
sixth gold since 1999 and her eleventh World and European Championship
medal, confirming her status as Britain's most successful ever female
canoeist. Anna's achievements were recognised at the Sunday Times Sports
Woman of the Year Awards, where she won the 2005 Champions Award.
Anna, 30, from London, thought she would have to retire from the sport
when diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in April 2003. Following
a series of failed treatments Anna began to think that her hopes of competing
again were ebbing further and further away. The illness left her exhausted
and aching on a daily basis as well as physically fatigued after basic
light exercise. However, Anna refused to give up and in September 2004,
Anna learned about 'reverse therapy', an innovative and highly successful
new treatment. By February 2005 Anna was finally able to resume training
again. She then went on to win a clean sweep of National, European and
World titles.
Anna first broke into the top flight of the sport in 1997 when, at the
age of just 20, she won the European Championship. In 1999 she successfully
defended her European crown, before going on to win the Marathon World
Championships - becoming the youngest ever competitor to do so. She also
became the first ever British female canoeist to win both European and
World titles.
She participated in the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 where she competed
in the 500m singles discipline. The following year Anna really made her
mark at the Marathon Canoeing World Championship when she became only
the second person in the history of the sport to win both the singles
and the doubles Marathon World titles.
In the same year, Anna graduated from Royal Holloway College, University
of London with a BSC Honours degree in Economics and Management (2:1)
"Rarely have I heard a more compelling and inspiring delivery."
